Making your own stained glass ornaments is a complicated process, involving molten lead and sharp pieces of glass. The projects are not suitable for kids, but kid-friendly stained glass projects do exist. With pieces of construction paper, tissue paper, and Contact paper, you have almost everything you need to create fun stained glass style ornaments.
Start with sheets of construction paper, which form the base for the ornament. Draw the ornament shapes on the paper with a pencil. Try using cookie cutters as the pattern for your ornaments. Carefully cut the designs from the paper.
Cut smaller shapes from the tissue paper. Apply a thin layer of glue to the construction paper, using white glue or a glue stick. Press the different colors of tissue paper on the ornament. The different colors mimic the design of stained glass pieces.
